Homemade Butterfingers

I knew I had to try this recipe when I found it.  I was a bit skeptical that they would be much like "real" Butterfingers (I was imagining something more like my peanut butter squares) but to my surprise, they were flaky, sweet and peanut buttery.  Plus, they're really not too difficult to make, they freeze well and would be a delicious addition to a milk shake.  Oh, and there's only three ingredients.

Ingredients:

1/2 pound candy corn
8 oz creamy peanut butter
8 oz milk chocolate
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the candy corn, stirring frequently to avoid scorching.  When the candy corn is smooth, quickly add the peanut butter and stir until creamy.
In either a bread pan or 8x8 pan (depending on how thick you'd like the bars), line with parchment paper and press in the candy corn mixture.  Cool completely (can stick in the fridge if you're eager to try the sweet treat).
When cooled, cut into squares or bars.  Melt the milk chocolate until smooth and dip the bars in, coating evenly.  Place back on the parchment paper and cool completely before serving (again, place them in the fridge if you just can't wait.  I know I couldn't!).
Enjoy!
